Mainardo de Nardis, OMD Worldwide's global CEO, has been to many a CES, and he's seen it morph from a techie and hobbiest showcase to a massive bazaar where anyone with a cool idea can try to shop it to the many thousands of attendees and hundreds of brands converging on Las Vegas. De Nardis shared his observations on CES with Adweek at Omnicom Media Group's shindig at the Bellagio the night before the conference opened. Among his observations: wearables are still an on-deck category and not really ready for prime time; and automotive connective technology is advancing so fast that cars can now be considered the new hot mobile device.
