Are you a fan of Twitter for Mac?
Really? You might be the only one. It’s not as if the product is bad – it actually delivers quite a slick (and refreshingly fast) Twitter experience. It’s just that it’s almost completely ignored by Twitter, getting none of the fanfare of their official iOS apps, which means almost nobody has heard of it. And as for new features? Fuhgeddaboudit.
Which makes this update of Twitter for Mac all the more of a surprise.
Yep, Twitter has rolled out version 3.1 of the app, which includes support for photos in direct messages, and also the ability to view and post tweets with as many as four photos.
That last addition is interesting because multi-photo tweeting is something that previously you could only do on mobile Twitter apps, and not on Twitter.com. Bit strange that an all-but-ignored (albeit official) Twitter app would get functionality that isn’t available on the web. It’s not as if the Mac app lends itself to photo-taking, after all.
