Twitter looked to beef up its marketing efforts by announcing three experienced hires.
Pam Kramer has joined Twitter as its first-ever vice president of consumer marketing, where she will lead efforts to strengthen the company’s brand. She had been general manager of a division of GreenRoad, and has also held high-level marketing roles with E*TRADE, MarketTools, and Lending Club.
Twitter’s new director of global brand strategy, Joel Lunenfeld (pictured), comes from Moxie Interactive, where he was CEO. He has developed consumer engagement campaigns for companies including Verizon Wireless, L’Oreal, Nestle, and Coca-Cola. At Twitter, he will guide efforts to develop custom ad and partnership programs.
And AdAge reported that J.B. Kropp is also on board to lead marketing efforts to packaged goods companies. Kropp had been VP of strategic partnerships for Facebook marketing software firm Vitrue.
Twitter CEO Dick Costolo said of Kramer and Lunenfeld:
Pam and Joel are significant hires whose experience and leadership will help strengthen the way we talk to both consumers and major brands about Twitter around the world. I’m thrilled to have them join our already strong senior management team.
