TV.com Names Best of 2009

HBO’s True Blood was the big winner of TV.com‘s Best of 2009 Awards, being named Show of the Year.

TV.com said 165.6 million votes were cast this year, up from 159.6 million in 2008.

Among the other series winners: House (Best Drama), Big Bang Theory (Best Comedy), 24 (Best Action-Adventure/Suspense), Family Guy (Best Animation), Deadliest Catch (Best Reality, Narrative), Top Chef (Best Reality, Competition), Fringe (Best Science Fiction) and Heroes (Best Science Fiction, Paranormal).

As far as other awards: Angela, Dwight and Andy of The Office were named Best Love Triangle; Sons of Anarchy took home Best Beatdown for Clay and Jax; the Coolest Superpower was Sam exorcising demons in Supernatural; GLEE was named Coolest Cast on Campus; and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was named Best Show Axed Before Its Time.
