The world’s second largest eBookstore just announced that it has signed a deal with Target, the second largest chain of retail stores in the US. As of Sunday morning, the Nook Touch and Nook Color could be found in all Target stores.
“We are excited to bring our award-winning devices to Target as we expand the retail locations where people can purchase NOOK,” said Chris Peifer, vice president, digital business development at Barnes & Noble. “The All-New NOOK offers a simple, easy-to-use, dedicated reading experience for readers of all ages and NOOK Color is the perfect sleek, sophisticated and reading-centric tablet device.”
Retail will be the same as in Barnes & Noble and other brick-and-mortar stores, with the 6″ Nook Touch selling for $139 and the 7″ NookColor selling for $249. That’s the same price that you can find the Nook eReaders selling for at Best Buy, Books-A-Million, Fred Meyer, Office Max, P.C. Richard & Sons, Radio Shack, Staples, Target and Walmart.
