The UK newspaper is joining Amazon in this length-challenged eBook niche.
The Guardian announced today that it had just launched a new series of short eBooks called Guardian Shorts. It’s going to create each ebook by gathering the background, unpublished details, and stories related to a lead article. The Guardian Short will offer greater depth and more thoughtful analysis.
There is currently 1 title in the series, and it covers the recent phone hacking scandal in the UK. (One of The Guardian competitors, News of the World, had been caught hacking into celebrities, crime victims, and other people’s voicemail accounts.) This was a story that The Guardian broke, and this Guardian Short is a comprehensive look at how it was done.
Guardian Shorts are currently only available in the Kindle Store, but The Guardian also plans to add them to iTunes in the near future.
