Facebook is exploring another source of mobile monetization, working with smaller game developers to offer distribution of their games via mobile ads in exchange for a percentage of revenue, according to a report in TechCrunch.
The social network is focusing on smaller, independent developers, TechCrunch reported, and the test only involves distribution, with no editing games’ content or financing their production.
Facebook confirmed to TechCrunch that it is working on new mobile-game-distribution tests, but it would not offer any further details.
