Teen Turns to Facebook to Protest Being Grounded

Facebook Group 1000 to get tess ungrounded has nearly reached its goal, totaling 960 members at the time of this post.

What is this group about? Tess Chapin, a 15-year-old from Sunnyside, Queens, and a sophomore at Millennium High School in Lower Manhattan, is using the social-networking site to protest being grounded by her parents for five weeks for drinking at a party and missing her curfew, The New York Times reports.

According to the Times, Chapin originally circulated a petition around school but turned to Facebook thanks to the suggestion of a friend.

so basically i was grounded for 5 weeks for a MISTAKE that i didnt fully know the outcome of.
