Shery Lanford Smith, the chairwoman of the Sumter South Carolina Tea Party, is getting lots of flak for an off-color joke she posted on Facebook about the President and the First Lady.
The derogatory posting was made by Smith on her Facebook profile page last Thursday. And it included what viral marketers refer to as a call for action — she asked people to repost the joke.
Smith, who has been the Tea Party Sumter head since February of this year, claims that she is surprised by the backlash.
