Taco Bell received some backlash from fans when a Facebook user posted a picture of a Taco Bell employee licking a stack of taco shells.

Jj O’Brien Nolan of Ridgecrest, California had posted the photo yesterday along with the message, “sure says a lot about your employees, food treatment, and what they post on the internet.”

The company replied less than 24 hours later in the comments of the original post.

“Hi Jj – We have strict food handling procedures and zero tolerance for any violations,” the Taco Bell team wrote. “We believe this is a prank and the food was not served to customers. We are conducting an investigation and will be taking swift action against those involved.”

This was not enough for some users, who aired their opinions in the comments.

Hopefully the investigators will also answer the question: were the shells Nacho Cheese, Cool Ranch, or plain?
