Nostalgia proves to be a potent weapon as Robots and Pencils’ Spy vs Spy leaps to the top of the paid app charts, taking the No. 1 spot on the iPhone chart and the No. 2 spot on the iPad chart. The game has enjoyed strong reviews from critics, and has drawn praise for being a faithful recreation of the 8 bit original and including an top-quality new version of the game with updated graphics. Disney Mobile also continues to perform well, as it takes the No. 2 and No. 3 spots on the iPhone charts with Where’s My Perry? and Where’s My Water?. The apps also take the No. 1 and No. 3 spots on the iPad charts.
Slightly lower down the charts, two new games see solid debuts. Slick Entertainment’s Shellrazer takes the No. 10 spot on the iPhone charts and the No. 4 spot on the iPad charts, while the paid version of Dogbyte Games’ Offroad Legends debuts in the No. 7 spot on the iPhone charts and the No. 15 spot on the iPad charts.
