Sprint Adding At Least 8 More Cities to Their 4G Network in 2010

This press release headline didn’t seem to capture the focus of the announcement…

So, let me clarify what Sprint really wanted to say: 4G (WiMax) high speed wireless data service will be available in Boston, Denver, Kansas City, Houston, Minneapolis, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. sometime during 2010. It is already available in 27 U.S. cities.

Sprint’s combined 3G/4G service was priced at $60 per month like its 3G-only service the last time I looked. I still can’t quite justify that price given that I am usually in range of a useable WiFi signal. But, that were not the case, I would probably give their service and the OverDrive 3G/4G/Wifi-Router device a lot of consideration.
