The fast-growing women’s portal SheKnows has rolled out a new regionally targeted parenting channel dubbed GeoParent.
The new channel is aimed at parents seeking information on local family activities, such as festivals, fairs and kid-oriented destinations. Initially, GeoParent features content covering 10 states — New York, Arizona, California, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania, Florida, Illinois and Georgia — as well as Canada. And beyond serving as a leisure guide, GeoParent also features content on health, kid-friendly diets and local sports teams.
According to Quantcast, SheKnows.com currently reaches 6.5 million unique users in the U.S. Among the current SheKnows/GeoParent advertisers are Colgate and Lifetime.
