Samsung and Nokia to cooperate on Mobile TV

Samsung and Nokia announced a joint effort to ensure that their phones work together with mobile TV.

According to this LetsGoMobile report, the effort is to encourage greater adoption of DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcast – Handheld)-enabled mobile TV devices, and accelerate service deployment.

As is obvious to anyone who has been following the latest “format” debacle – Blu-Ray versus HD DVD – consumers are much more willing to buy into new technologies if they can be reasonably assured that one of them won’t die off in the next six months.
