Ketchum has named Christy Salcido its new director of the Brand Practice in Ketchum West. Salcido re-joines Ketchum after serving a stint as senior vice president at Porter Novelli. She had originally joined Ketchum directly out of college in 1992 and spent the next ten years building her career at the firm as a consumer brand specialist. In her new role, Salcido will be located in the firm’s Los Angeles office. (Bulldog Reporter)

Kwittken has named Adam Snyder as its first chief digital officer. Formerly senior director of digital and social media strategy at Burson-Marsteller, Snyder will now be responsible for overseeing and growing the Kwittken’s digital and social strategy offerings, as well as analytics and insights, influencer mapping, and content activations for clients in the US, UK, and Canada. Prior to his role at Burson-Marsteller, Snyder was a director of digital strategy at Havas Worldwide. (The Drum)

Finsbury hired Peter Land, veteran of the AOL and PepsiCo organizations, as a partner. Land, who most recently handled “all global internal and external” comms for AOL, also served as global managing director at Edelman among other big-name roles.(Release)

Warschawski has promoted Michele Tomlinson to vice president. In her new role, Michele will take on an increased leadership role within the agency, providing strategic guidance on agency accounts, overseeing the execution of integrated communication campaigns, and managing account team members. She will also play a more active role in new business development. Michele joined Warschawski more than 12 years ago, first completing the company’s assistant associate program and most recently serving as senior director. (Release)

Online retailer Birchbox promoted Claire Paull to the chief communications officer role. Paull, who previously held the VP of PR and strategic partnerships position, began her career at Hill & Knowlton and Edelman before landing top PR roles at Sony Pictures Entertainment and Fox Filmed Entertainment. Ogilvy PR hired Robyn Massey to fill the newly-created role of global chief communications officer. Massey was previously VP of corporate comms at Ketchum’s London office; in the new role she will relocate to New York and report to Global Chief Executive Officer Stuart Smith. (Release)

Edelman signed Nadia Damouni as its new SVP of financial communications and “special situations.” Damouni, who was most recently a financial journalist with Thomson Reuters, will advise clients on M&A, shareholder relations, and “corporate governance matters.” (Release)

LANE has hired four individuals and promoted five current staff members at its Portland and New York offices. New hires include Shane Stafford as digital strategist, Erin Tassey Krug as account director, Jason Ginenthal as senior account executive and Samantha Chulick as account executive. Meanwhile, Amber Roberts has been promoted to senior vice president; Lisa Heathman, Shannon Brewer Riggs and Jill Williams to vice president; and Rachael Ka’apu to senior account executive. (Release)
