Roger Avary Arrested for DUI
Roger Avary, the Oscar winning screenwriter of Pulp Fiction, was arrested early Sunday morning in Ojai after crashing his car and killing a passenger, 34-year-old Italian Andreas Zini, while allegedly driving under the influence. His wife, also a passenger, has been hospitalized with serious injuries.
Avary, 42, is also the EP and co-writer of Beowulf.
Avary has been charged with felony DUI and manslaughter.
According to a commenter at Hollywood Elsewhere,
Just realized he was currently writing (and set to direct) the “Driver” movie at Rogue pictures. Ouch.
