HP has measured the “100 Top Influencers in Congress” and determined that @speakerpelosi (Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-CA), @reppaulryan (Rep. Paul Ryan, R-WI), and @michelebachmann (Rep. Michele Bachmann , R-MN) top the list. HP Labs used an algorithm to determine influence, which is not entirely dependent on the number of followers; both Ryan and Bachhmann have more than Pelosi.

HP’s research also found that 70 of the most influential Congressional tweeters are Republicans, and out of the 86 that had an election campaign 80 won.
