O2, Endemol Launch Made-for-Mobile Series "Cell"

Starting today, O2 mobile customers in the UK can watch a new TV show created just for their cell phones. Aptly titled “Cell,” the program, produced by Endemol, is a series comprising 20 two-minute episodes.

The title also refers to the situation of the main character, who reportedly mysteriously finds himself in a prison cell – with his cell phone – and no idea how he got there.

According to Tech Digest, “Cell” is a “high-action thriller” that’s a mix of live action and computer animation.

Interested viewers can pay 50 pence (98 cents) per episode or subscribe to the whole series for a mere 3.50
