Activia, Samsung and Nike were the top-performing brands in social video this year.

Social video advertising company Unruly has released its annual list of top brands in social video. This year’s most viral ad was Activia’s collaboration with Shakira for the World Cup (embedded above) — the video has over 400 million views and was shared over 5.8 million times. Samsung, last year’s winner, dropped to the No. 2 spot.

Samsung launched several videos to coincide with the World Cup. Here’s one that got over half a million shares:

Despite the fact that Adidas was the World Cup’s official sponsor, arch-rival Nike snagged more social shares. The brand’s most-shared ad featured animated soccer stars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Neymar Júnior:

There were some notable absences this year. From Unruly:

No auto brands made into the top 10, due to a poor ad performance at this year’s Super Bowl, which saw online video shares plummet by almost a third for the first time in the event’s history. Google, which was the winner in 2012, also missed out.
