Moleskine Launches Notepad App for iPad

Moleskine, maker of the well known notepads, has released its first official app free for the iPad and the iPhone.

At first glance, it has a lot of features. You can type or scribble notes in four sizes and 15 colors. You can also embed images, attach geotags, and share the note online.

To be honest, I don’t really see anything special about this app other than the name-dropping value. It took  me some time to figure out how to figure out how to type and scribble. Also, the drawing features aren’t all that impressive; the lines don’t curve smoothly and you’re limited to only four-line thicknesses. The eraser also functions poorly; it’s difficult to erase a large sketch gone wrong. I also don’t see a way to either print a note or import content from outside the app.
