Kabam launches $50 fund to help bring Japanese games to the West — Mobile-social gaming developer Kabam told the Wall Street Journal on Monday that the company has established a $50 million fund to help bring Japanese games to Western markets. The money provided by Kabam to Japanese game developers will help with localization, translation, analytics tracking, marketing, user acquisition, retention and more. Other major gaming giants like DeNA, GREE, Zynga and Pocket Gems have all invested more and more into the publishing of third-party titles.
