Microsoft Garage Launches Clip Layer on Android

The Clip Layer app applies a "universal overlay" over any screen, and it allows users to easily select "snippets" of information on websites, within apps and elsewhere.

Microsoft Garage, Microsoft’s “outlet for experimental projects,” announced the release of Clip Layer on Android.

The Clip Layer application applies a “universal overlay” over any screen, and it allows users to easily select “snippets” of information on websites, within apps and elsewhere, which can be copied, shared to other apps, sent through emails or saved to Wunderlist.

Users can launch Clip Layer by pressing and holding on the home button on their devices. From there, users can tap to select the snippets of information they’re interested in. Once a user has selected a snippet, they can tap buttons to copy, email or share the information, as well as save it to Wunderlist.

Clip Layer is available to download for free on Google Play.
