Mars Pop Competitive Bubble Shooter Launches on Mobile

The game sees players challenging friends and strangers to see whose board will fill with bubbles first.

Outfit7 Limited, the entertainment company behind the popular Talking Tom and Friends franchise, has released Mars Pop on mobile devices. The game is the compay’s first departure from the Talking Tom and Friends series, and is a real-time multiplayer bubble shooter set in outer space.

In Mars Pop, players compete in head-to-head battles against other real players around the world. In each game, both players begin with the same starting layout of bubbles, and work to clear bubbles faster than their opponent. The faster players clear large groups of bubbles, the more extra bubbles they’ll cause to appear on their opponent’s screen. The game ends when one player allows their bubble formation to reach a line at the bottom of the screen.

Gamers can keep an eye on their opponent’s progress via a preview window in the top corner of the screen. As players win matches, they receive medals which increase their rank in the game’s current timed tournament. The player’s final rank determines the amount of premium currency they receive when the tournament concludes.

Each game costs energy to access, which recharges automatically over time, or can be purchased with premium currency. Outside of games with random worldwide opponents, users can also connect to Facebook and challenge their friends to matches. Users can chat with others using template phrases or emoji.
