Magisto, a video-editing application that enables Facebook users to organize their videos into scrapbooks, announced an update to the timeline-enhanced app.

Videos created with Magisto are displayed in a special box at the top of Facebook users’ timelines, enabling users to access all of their videos from one destination, rather than having to surf back in time via timeline and search for them.

The new version of the app adds a social mode, which enables Facebook users’ friends to post that they watched and liked videos, leading to more exposure for videos with the most views and likes.

Magisto Vice President of Products Roy Klieger demonstrated the updated Magisto app at Facebook’s Apps & Drinks press event, part of The Next Web Conference in Amsterdam, and Chief Executive Officer Oren Boiman said:

Timeline apps have opened up new doors for personal video discovery, making it easier than ever to create personal video memories and share them with your friends. We are proud to have been a part of this event and to be one of the early adapters of Facebook apps for timeline.

Sharing personal video is the best medium to let your friends share in your experiences. Magisto has eliminated the video-editing barrier that held video content back for so long. Finally, the Magisto timeline app makes it very easy for people to share their edited video memories and experiences, and gives their friends a fun way to watch and discuss them.
