Local TV Websites Lag in Ad Sales
Radio stations, newspapers more likely to sell ads on their sites
In a recent survey of 1,000 media executives, video production company DS Simon found a surprisingly low number of local station websites carried advertising—only 65 percent. Twenty-four percent of stations, in fact, say they don't carry any advertising. More puzzling were the 11 percent of station execs who replied "don't know" to the Simon survey.
