Nokia S40 mobile phone users can now enjoy a bigger, better version of foursquare, as the location-based mobile app rolled out a new version of its app for that platform.

foursquare originally introduced a Nokia S40 app in February, and both versions were built using its open API.

The new app boasts features including tips, specials, explore, and Nokia Maps for Series 40.

More from a post on the foursquare Blog:

Way back in February, we worked with Nokia to build a full-featured foursquare for their Series 40 OS. Today, the 600 million S40 owners around the world will be happy to know that there’s a hugely improved version of foursquare available to them, with more features and in more countries than ever before. It’s built on our open API, and it’s got everything you love about foursquare.

There’s a lot of awesome stuff in this version — Nokia Maps for Series 40, enhanced Tips, nearby Specials, Explore, and it works on even more devices. Together with our buddies at Nokia, we’ll continue to give mobile users around the world, and on many more devices, access to foursquare. Stay tuned for more!
