Airborne Mobile, a mobile media company, today announced that it’s Food Network mobile app, Food Network Everyday Chef, is available in the U.S. market. This via carrier, and smartphone portals Handmark and Handango.
Now, as a foodie and avid watcher of the Food Network, I am jazzed by this app. It gives you access to recipes on the go, personalized meal planning and grocery list creation. As I see it, the challenges for the app include the usual discovery, distribution (not on all U.S. carriers or devices), and consumer willingness to pay challenges. Another is the fact that FoodNetwork already has an app and presence on the iPhone.
