TinyCo has already released one Halloween update for its branded city-building title Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff, but why stop there? The game has now been updated with a second set of Halloween-themed content, which introduces classic horror icons to the game. Freddy, Predator, Jason and Alien have all joined the game’s cast for this Halloween event, and no one in Quahog is safe.
First things first, Alien and Predator are already available within the game, and are premium characters. Once players purchase them, they unlock new quest lines to complete.
Meanwhile, Jason and Freddy will also come along with major plot lines and quests, and once players collect them, they’ll provide gameplay bonuses as players try to fight the other Halloween-themed creatures in their town.
Jason is available now, and is a premium character, while Freddy will appear as part of the overall event storyline on Thursday, October 30. Freddy will appear after Peter accidentally releases him through the Nightmare Portal in Quahog, and gamers will then need to go to work trying to defeat him.
The major storyline with Freddy sees players (as Ghostbusters) building weapons and traps to defeat him. If players can do so before the end of this event on November 7, they get to keep Freddy for free. The same goes for the rest of these exclusive characters: once players unlock them during the event, they can keep them forever.
Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. The game’s first Halloween event introduced Ghostbusters-themed quests and content to the game, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the film.
