A Buckingham palace guard will not be working at the upcoming nuptials of Kate Middleton and Prince William of Wales because of offensive Facebook postings.

The British Ministry of Defense told CNN Monday that the guard, Cameron Reilly, made several racist and vicious online rants which were removed from the site. Reilly faces dismissal from the Scots Guards that he’d joined last year.

He was supposed to be one of several hundred guardsmen chosen to work during the Royal wedding scheduled for this Friday, April 29.

Reilly had joined Facebook last year and has reportedly posted bizarre comments with increasing frequency, and apparently without making use of the site’s privacy settings.
