Archos To Release New Arnova Tablet

A new Archos tablet has shown up in Russia this week. The Arnova A80KSC has an 8″ screen, and it runs an unknown version of Android. It’s running on a 311MHz CPU with 8GB Flash storage, Wifi, a microSD card slot, USB Host, a headphone jack, and an accelerometer ()but no camera.

The-eBook.org got their hands on pre-release unit, and it was running Android v1.5. They weren’t too pleased with it, actually. The screen quality was poor, and the touchscreen difficult to use. But they also thought that if it is sold cheap enough, it should do well. There’s no word yet on price or availability.
