Apple iTunes 10.2.1 Released: Fixes Photo Sync Issue with iPhone, iPad & iPod

It seems like just yesterday that Apple released iTunes 10.2 in prepration for iOS 4.3 and the iPad 2. Actually, it was exactly a week ago when I wrote:

Apple iTunes 10.2 Update Available Now: Prep for iOS 4.3 & iPad 2 on March 11

Version 10.2 introduced these changes:

– Sync with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.3.

– Improved Home Sharing. Browse and play from your iTunes libraries with Home Sharing on any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.3.

So, why did Apple release yet another update a day before the iPad 2 becomes available?

iTunes 10.2.1

As the minor point release (.1) indicates, it is a bug fix. Here’s what 10.2.1 fixes.

– Resolves an issue whereby syncing photos to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod may take longer than expected

This is an important fix since many new iPad 2 owners will be taking a lot of photos to test their new mobile toy over the weekend.
