This video explaining (in a crude and not brand-sanctioned way) why MTV doesn't play music videos anymore has been making the rounds this week, because clearly the ex-music network's transformation into E! Jr. was too subtle for my dumb generation. I certainly hope all the crocodile tears about this on Facebook aren't suggesting that people want music videos back on a grand scale. Most of them were terrible, unless you actually enjoyed watching R. Kelly and Ron Isley play Lancelot and King Arthur for what felt like eternity in the video for "Down Low."
