Check Out the Winners of the First Shorty Social Good Awards

Honoring the best work for social causes

Cause marketing efforts are becoming more essential for all brands these days, and to honor that, The Shorty Awards held its first Shorty Social Good Awards in New York on Wednesday. The awards shine a spotlight on organizations involved in social causes.

A major trend among award winners was the use of video, which has become a go-to tool for creating effective social good campaigns, said Greg Galant, co-founder of the Shorty Awards and CEO of Muck Rack.

"The response we received in our first year of this new awards show was overwhelming," Galant said. "We received hundreds of amazing entries from all over the globe. "We're excited to celebrate the social good trend, but more importantly encourage brands and organizations to do more over the next year. We think this movement will only get bigger."
