Starbucks can’t catch a break with its “The Way I See It” quotes-on-cups initiative. We first wrote about this topic back in January—it seemed funny that Starbucks was including a disclaimer (“This is the author’s opinion, not necessarily that of Starbucks”) on cups with even the warmest and fuzziest quotes. But we guess they knew what they were doing. In July, a “national Christian women’s organization” got all uppity about a quote from Armistead Maupin about being gay.
