You could argue that new consumer generated advertising contests barely rate a mention anymore, but, what the hell, here’s another one: Southwest Airlines is running a CGM contest on YouTube for consumers to create their own versions of its “Wanna Get Away” campaign. (One example from the campaign is above.) The winner will have their work turned into an actual ad (as opposed to, I guess, an amateur production), and win a trip for four to anywhere Southwest flies. Entries are meant to be submitted here.
