Brian Braiker came to Adweek from ABC News where he was a general assignment writer, homepage editor and social media producer. Prior to that, for about seven years, he was a general editor at Newsweek magazine, where he contributed to a half-dozen cover stories on a range of topics. He left Newsweek in 2008 to write for Rolling Stone, and lasted two whole months before a large round of layoffs. (About which he is only mildly bitter.) He’s also written for Nightline, People magazine, Time Out New York, Slate.com, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, Variety and Salon.com, among others.
