Willem Dafoe's Bird's Eye bear quietly scary
AMV BBDO gets edgy with a talking polar-bear puppet in new ads eerily voiced by Willem Dafoe in this U.K. campaign for Bird's Eye. Never before have frozen fish sticks and peas seemed this ... intense. "Fiona, I'm watching you," the creature coolly warns one of the housewives. What's next, a psychotic Keebler elf in the cookie cupboard? Christopher Walken would kill in that role, literally. These spots stand out in a normally staid category, that's for sure. If I were the mom in the frozen-peas spot (posted after the jump), I'd take the bear's advice and shut the freezer door fast, before that furry freak puts the whole family on ice.
