Trekies have been awaiting the Star Trek prequel from J.J. Abrams with great trepidation ever since Abrams said he's not making the movie for current fans but "future" fans. There's been general hyperventilating about J.J. messing with the canon, and the teaser trailer, in which a young Kirk drives a convertible off a cliff for what can only be assumed are asshole reasons, didn't help. Now, fans have a bit more to chew on: A prequel to the prequel is being released in comic-book form.
