So, the alleged spymasters at Hewlett-Packard co-sponsor an award for “privacy innovation” every year. Ironic? I disagree. In fact, it’s downright brilliant. What better cover for a company accused of spying on its board members and the media? Kind of like James Bond “dying” in You Only Live Twice. (Even Blofeld was tricked for a while, even though the title pretty much gave the game away.) Hey, Microsoft is a past HP/IAPP Privacy Innovation Award winner.
