Megadeth asks public for a new mascot
Metal fans, here’s a design contest for you. Apparently, Megadeth’s skull mascot (shown here), who goes by the affectionate name of Vic Rattlehead, needs a facelift, and the band wants the public to do the work. Dave Mustaine himself has reached out to the well-adjusted folks on the deviantART Web site and asked them to submit design ideas for the new and improved Vic. (He’s not looking for kinder or gentler, presumably.) Three signed electric guitars are up for grabs—which seems a bit on the skimpy side, prize-wise, but no doubt this will be a labor of love for many people. Thus, it has a fitting deadline for submissions: Valentine’s Day.
