Medieval mob? Mercury Insurance covers it
Here's a new one. Mercury Insurance Group claims to cover "medieval mob damage." Now, that's a unique selling proposition! It's inspired by a true story, but the Renaissance Fair scenario isn't that funny until the final few seconds of the spot, when a larger gent squeaks his backside across the roof of the car as the owner looks on, horrified. The ad is the latest in the rather predictable but well executed "Mercury Moments" campaign, which has been running for a while. Mercury also claims to cover damage by bears, dust storms and falling sculptural hamburgers. See those spots after the jump. But never have I seen an ad targeted so specifically to the needs of an SCA member.
