Loveless Man Uses Facebook Ads to Find Girlfriend
Hey look, another guy is using marketing techniques to find a girlfriend. This time, it's a targeted Facebook ad campaign developed by web-savvy 30-something Matt Simpson, who set his parameters to upscale New Age urbanite (he wants women who like "yoga, meditation and books by spiritual authors") and sent it into the wind. The debate over whether this is brilliant or creepy goes over my head, what with all the numbers and percentages involved, but it's kind of sad to watch people who cannot function without the instruments of capital try to connect with each other. But at least Matt is more dignified than the guy offering $5,000 to whoever can find him a wife.
