Guillermo del Toro makes Alka-Seltzer howl
For those of you wondering how the Pan's Labyrinth guy also directed crap like Blade II, this old Alka Seltzer commercial from Mexico should provide an informative peek into Guillermo del Toro's campy beginnings. The 1991 spot for the popular antacid—which Del Toro both directed and stars in—makes a case for indigestion turning mild-mannered businessmen into savage werewolves. Is that what Montezuma's Revenge is? No, thanks. Silly premise aside, there's a charm to this ad that can't be denied, probably because that werewolf is a dead-ringer for modern-day Guillermo.
