Grammys ad tells Eminem redemption story

Eminem

Eminem's new promo for the Grammy Awards, by TBWA\Chiat\Day, makes a strong case for music being the best and most effective form of catharsis. I'm a pretty cynical guy, and I found myself nodding at the line about music "turning demons into demos ... battling through the haze, the rage and the doubt" to empower those who feel powerless. It's a strange sentiment to use for a gala event in which celebrities compliment each other on behalf of an industry that ignores everyone but Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. In the words of some actual Grammy winners, it's something of a walking contradiction. Via AgencySpy.
