Good young prospects in Red Sox Nation

Baby Turns out Daisuke Matsuzaka isn’t the only Red Sox bonus baby this season. Team Baby Entertainment (yes, that’s the company’s real name) has launched a $19.95 DVD dubbed Red Sox Baby: Raising Tomorrow’s Boston Red Sox Fan Today. Ben Affleck narrates (he’s local, so why not), and there are lots of Raffi-esque Sox-themed songs. Beck’s slacker anthem “Loser,” which could well apply to a franchise that went 86 years between World Series victories, is strangely absent. I’m sure the Yankees will counter with an attitudinal offering called, perhaps, Bronx Cheer, narrated by a suitably intense Bobby De Niro, with all those October highlights set to the strains of “We Are the Champions.”
