Red Tettemer crafted a whole bunch of clips for cable network Fox Soccer Plus starring your prototypical American soccer fans: nerdy Anglophile outcasts angrily worshipping a culture no one here cares about. Initially, I figured the agency was wise to focus on the hard-core fans, rather than the god-awful-boring 0-0 games. (No wonder Europeans are driven to fits of murderous rage by these matches.) But these "rowdies" are mostly just dopey suburban types running around shirtless, stridently "demanding" their favorite sport and making with the "Oy! Oy! Oy!" I'd actually prefer watching a soccer game! Exception: The guy who tears into the three-foot-long sausage grinder.
