All the stork's hard work, gone to waste

Stork Ah, the stork. That world-renowned symbol of the Hague, the tenacity of Vietnamese farmers, and your parents having sex. So, naturally it’s a perfect fit for Monster.com, as this spot from BBDO illustrates. And while it’s cute and somewhat touching, the implications darken once the bird stares into the poor guy’s window and silently judges him. Is it there on behalf of his disappointed parents, or is it nesting on his roof to foreshadow his death by year’s end, in accordance with rural Danish tradition? Whatever its haunting visage portends, it’s surely nothing that a better job—or least a well-lit cubicle—can’t cure.
