'Airplane!' Director Helms New Ad for Wisconsin Tourism David Zucker returns to his home state

You probably laughed uproariously at Airplane! and The Naked Gun. By contrast, you might potentially smile ever so slightly (or not) at director David Zucker's latest effort—a 30-second tourism commercial for his home state of Wisconsin. The ad, which begins airing this week in Milwaukee, Green Bay, Chicago and Minneapolis-St. Paul, shows the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra getting into a snowball fight while performing "Winter Wonderland" at the Riverside Theater. Frankly, it needs a little Leslie Nielsen (RIP). "While I haven't had opportunities to work in my home state, I remain a tried-and-true Wisconsin booster," Zucker has said. "I hope this is the beginning of working on more projects in the state." The spot is from agency Laughlin Constable.
