A&E Uses Kathy Griffin's Quotes Against Her in Sneaky Emmys Ad Griffin fires back in own Bravo ad
So, two reality shows about sad, crazy people (A&E's Hoarders and Bravo's Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List) are up for the same Emmy Award. But Griffin apparently loves Hoarders, and A&E is sneakily using that against her, featuring complimentary quotes from the comedian in Hoarders ads campaigning for the Emmy. "My favorite new show," Griffin says in the A&E ads. "I'm obsessed with Hoarders." "Hoarders is so f#*@ing fantastic." Kathy quickly responded with her own Emmy ad that slags A&E for its tactics. "Quoting me in an Emmy ad? Bravo, Hoarders. BRAVO," she says in the ad. Griffin already has two Emmys, so how upset can she really be? No, really, I don't know if she's upset or not—her voice is the same horrible screech regardless of context. Full ads after the jump.
