Gimbal | true[X], a leader in the location technology and CTV adtech spaces, announced its rebrand as Infillion

The name change signals the unification of the company’s product offering and data capabilities to enable omnichannel capabilities for advertisers, publishers, and consumers across every touchpoint. Infillion’s vision is to accelerate the convergence of marketing and advertising technologies through a connected set of data and consumer experiences.

The news follows Gimbal’s acquisition of adtech CTV pioneer true[X] from Disney in late 2020. Both companies have been driving customer engagement with proprietary technology and first-party data since the beginning of marketing’s transformation to digital. The company grew 97% year-over-year (32% on a pro forma basis), buoyed by the acceleration in CTV and digital advertising.

Since 2015, Infillion has grown 2176% with a CAGR of 68%.

“The past 15 months have allowed us to focus on integration and product advancements between the two legacy organizations,” says Scott Dillon, CEO of Infillion.  “As we’ve met with our clients during this time, two things have become clear: they want to be working with partners who can help them do more, and they want to integrate communication channels with their customers. Infillion solves for both.”

The name change was also spurred by a massive shift in consumer habits, accelerated by the COVID pandemic. Today, consumers move more fluidly between digital and real-world touchpoints with brands than ever before. With more connection points, seamless interactions enable brands to tell a unified omnichannel story and deliver experiences that consumers actually want to engage with.

The company expects continued growth heading into 2022 and beyond as connected TV, one of Infillion’s key service areas, is projected to grow from a $14.3 billion industry in 2020 to $40.3 billion industry in 2025.

“The possibilities available to marketers and advertisers are infinite—yet today’s media and marketing environments have created increasingly disconnected experiences between brands and customers,” said Laurel Rossi, Infillion CMO. “With an accelerated product roadmap, beginning with the launch of TrueTargeting, Infillion is well-positioned to help brands maximize their marketing efforts and prioritize human connection by respecting customer time, attention, and privacy.”

Infillion brings location and attention-based marketing together to fulfill the promise of connected consumer experiences. Leveraging integrated technology, Infillion enables better targeting via unique data sets, engaging creative, and actionable measurement solutions for advertisers looking to bridge the physical and digital worlds. Among the fastest-growing companies in ad technology, Infillion is advancing the integration of advertising, marketing, and CX through value exchange applications that captivate customers, optimize their attention, and honor their time and privacy.
